Dexter Ico - editor

Dexter Ico is a video artist.  He is 30 years of age.  His love for film began with acting back in high school, which he pursued professionally for a brief period.  He studied film and television in college with a focus in directing for almost 3 years, but dropped out, opting to struggle with his ambitions in the real world.  He taught himself editing, and with his own camera and computer, began creating short documentaries and dramas with his actor friends.  Creative as these shorts were, they garnered minimal attention.  Throughout the last 6 years, Dexter would work part-time in call centers, as a waiter, and as an overnight department store security guard while freelancing as a videographer/video editor.  When the director of Escape from Suburbia contacted him, it was to assist in editing––Dexter was already a fan of End of Suburbia.  With a tight deadline, Dexter was asked to apply his creativity to the film as a story editor––the opportunity he was waiting for. Dexter is currently working on various personal creative endeavors with a renewed vigor, full-time.
